RupertG Foundation
Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 26 July 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern entry into the RupertG Foundation Prize Draw (the "Prize Draw"). By entering, whether by donation or by the free entry route, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before entering.
No purchase is necessary to enter. A free entry route is available to all eligible entrants, as set out in Section 4 below. Free entries carry exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries.
1. The Promoter
The Prize Draw is organised by RupertG Foundation, a non-profit initiative operated by RupertG Interactive ("the Promoter", "we", "us", "our"). RupertG Foundation is not a separately registered company or registered charity. It is an unincorporated initiative run by RupertG Interactive for the purpose of funding devices, connectivity, and mentorship for young people in the UK.
Correspondence relating to the Prize Draw should be sent to legal@rupertg.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
- Entrants must be at least 14 years old at the time of entry.
- Entrants must be legal residents of the United Kingdom. The Prize Draw is not open to residents of other countries.
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must process any payment on your behalf and must receive any prize on your behalf. The Promoter will treat the parent or guardian as the responsible party for payment, verification, and prize collection in relation to any entrant under 18.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request reasonable proof of age, UK residency, and, where the entrant is under 18, proof of parental or guardian involvement, before confirming any entry or awarding the prize.
3. How to Enter (Paid Route)
- Entrants may donate any amount via the payment process on foundation.rupertg.co.uk/prizedraw, processed securely through Stripe.
- Every £1 donated equals one entry into the Prize Draw.
- There is no minimum or maximum donation, and no cap on the number of paid entries a single person may hold.
- Donations are non-refundable, as they directly fund the Prize Draw and the wider work of RupertG Foundation. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
- Entrants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian process the payment on their behalf. The parent or guardian is responsible for the payment method used and for confirming they are happy for the entrant to take part.
4. Free Entry Route
In accordance with the Gambling Act 2005 and to ensure the Prize Draw is a genuine free prize draw rather than a lottery, a free method of entry is available to anyone who does not wish to donate.
- To enter for free, email foundation@rupertg.co.uk with the subject line "RupertG Foundation Prize Draw", including your full legal name and full postal address in the body of the email.
- This method of entry is entirely free of charge and carries an equal chance of winning as a single paid entry (£1).
- One free entry per household is permitted, regardless of how many free entry emails are received from that household.
- Free entries are subject to the same eligibility criteria as paid entries and will be included in the same draw pool.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify duplicate, fraudulent, or incomplete free entries.
5. The Entry Threshold and Timing of the Draw
- The Prize Draw will remain open indefinitely until total donations reach £10,000.
- Once the £10,000 threshold is reached, entries will close and the draw will be held within a reasonable period, expected to be no later than 14 days after the threshold is met.
- There is no fixed closing date. If the threshold is not reached, the Prize Draw continues to accept entries and no draw will take place until it is.
- The Promoter will publish a closing date on the Prize Draw page if and when one is set, giving reasonable notice before entries close.
6. Selecting the Winner
- Once the entry threshold is reached and the draw closes, one winning entry will be selected completely at random using an independent digital random selection tool, giving every entry (whether free or paid) an equal chance of being selected.
- The draw is not supervised by an independent adjudicator. The Promoter will retain a record of the entry pool and the selection result for its own records.
- The Promoter's decision as to the winning entry is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the draw, save for genuine complaints handled under Section 12.
7. The Prize
- The prize is a cash sum of £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling), payable to the winning entrant by bank transfer.
- There is only one prize available per draw. The prize is not transferable to another person and no cash or other alternative will be offered beyond the stated £1,000.
- The remaining funds raised, expected to be approximately £9,000 per completed draw cycle, will be retained by RupertG Foundation to fund devices, connectivity, and mentorship support for young people in the UK. These funds are not part of the prize and do not form part of any entrant's chance of winning.
- The winner is responsible for any tax liability that may arise from receiving the prize. The Promoter recommends the winner seek independent advice if unsure of their position.
- Where the winning entrant is under 18, the prize will be paid to their parent or legal guardian, who must be verified before payment is made and who takes responsibility for holding or administering the prize on the winner's behalf.
8. Winner Notification
- The winner will be notified by email using the address provided at the time of entry, within 7 days of the draw taking place.
- The winner must respond to confirm acceptance of the prize, and provide valid bank details for payment, within 30 days of being notified.
- If the winner does not respond within this period, or if the Promoter is unable to make contact after reasonable attempts, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining entry pool.
- With the winner's consent, their first name and county may be published on the Prize Draw page or associated social media as confirmation the prize has been awarded. No entrant's full name, address, or contact details will be published without their explicit consent.
9. Use of Donations
RupertG Foundation is a non-profit initiative rather than a registered charity. Donations made through the Prize Draw are not eligible for Gift Aid. Funds raised beyond the £1,000 prize are used at the discretion of RupertG Foundation to further its stated purpose of providing devices, connectivity, and mentorship to young people, and are not held on trust for any individual entrant.
10. Data Protection
Personal information collected as part of the Prize Draw, including names, email addresses, and postal addresses submitted via the free entry route, is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. This information will only be used to administer the Prize Draw, verify eligibility, and contact the winner, and will not be sold, rented, or used for marketing without separate consent.
11. Changes, Cancellation, and Disqualification
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Where changes materially affect entrants, the updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
- The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or postpone the Prize Draw at any stage if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. In the event of cancellation after the threshold has been reached but before a winner has been selected, the Promoter will either proceed with the draw as soon as reasonably possible or, where this is not feasible, refund all paid entries received for that draw cycle.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who is found to have entered fraudulently, submitted false information, or attempted to manipulate the draw, whether through the free or paid route.
12. Complaints and Liability
Any complaints regarding the conduct of the Prize Draw should be sent in writing to legal@rupertg.co.uk. The Promoter will endeavour to respond within 14 days.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from entry into the Prize Draw, technical failures beyond its reasonable control, or delays in payment processing by third parties such as Stripe, except where such loss arises from the Promoter's negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. General
- Entry into the Prize Draw is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
